Zoe Efstathiou

Zoe Efstathiou

Zoe was born in Greece. From 2016 to 2021, she was a dancer in the ROSAS dance group of choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in Belgium. From 2013 to 2016 she participated in Michéle Noiret's production, "Hors-Champ". Between 2010 and 2015 she collaborated with the choreographer Dominique Duszynski in the productions "Sous Les Ponts" (2010), "Sotto Voces" (2011), "Walkabout" (2014) and together they created the duet "Riff" (2012-2015), which they presented in France, Belgium and Brazil. In 2021, in collaboration with Jacob Jonas The Company in Los Angeles, she created the original choreography 'Gathering' which is part of the "Films.Dance" production. 

Zoe also created and presented her own productions "Mr Gingerbread Man" (2012), "9 NiNe" (2014), "Chapter I" (2015), "(-) WE" (2019), "Into the full, meet us" (2018) in Belgium, Greece and Austria. In 2021, her dance duet 'We find each other in the Plenum' was presented at the RIDCC International Competition in Rotterdam, where the audience voted it as their favorite choreography. The production "Into the full, we meet us" was presented as part of the ARC for Dance Festival in 2021, Akropoditi Dancefest and is presented at Festivals in Europe and Greece to this day.
In 2022, she founded the dance group "ANEMA" and presented the production "This is a good performance" hosted by the Flux Laboratory of Athens. In 2023, she was granted a grant by the Ministry of Culture for her participation in the institution "All Greece is one culture, 2023", with the production "A dot of utopia".

Zoe is a Psychologist and since 2022 she has been teaching at the Higher Professional Dance School "AKTINA".
