Professional Dance School

 

The professional dance school AKTINA was founded in September 2013 and is recognized as a Higher Education institution in accordance with Law 1158/8 on the organization and management of Higher Artistic Education.

The school offers both professional and amateur-level courses, aiming to deepen students' understanding and practice of dance. AKTINA embraces a collective and creative approach, bringing together a distinguished faculty of accomplished dancers, educators, and dance theorists who have shaped the Greek dance landscape and continue to inspire through their teaching. The school's mission is to provide a structured educational framework that fosters personal artistic expression and development.

It is designed for those who wish to pursue a professional career in dance and obtain a dance teaching diploma. This program has a mandatory three-year duration, with a curriculum structured according to the established syllabus set by the Ministry of Culture.

The afternoon program at AKTINA includes classes for beginners, as well as preparatory courses for the entrance exams of the Ministry of Culture that are designed for individuals with experience in classical and contemporary dance, including professionals and dance students.
