Vissy Solomou

Born and raised in Athens, she started dancing at the age of 9. She graduated at the Despina Grigoriadou Professional Dance School. After graduating, she traveled abroad (Varna, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Vienna) to participate in dance workshops (Impulstanz Dance Fest, Maya carol, Batcheva, William Forsythe repertory, Ted Stofer, Alessandro Castellucci, etc.).

As a dancer, she has collaborated with the National Theatre, the Greek National Opera and various contemporary dance companies in Athens. She has worked in several dance schools as a ballet teacher (Margarita Varlamou-de Petrillo dance school, Elena Vakalopoulou dance school, Maros Grigoriou Dance school, Duncan Center etc).

As a choreographer and performance curator, she has worked for various theater groups as well as for the National Theater, the State Theater of Northern Greece, the Athens Festival, the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, the artistic institution Art Athens, Neos Kosmos theater, etc.
