Maria Fountouli

She was born in Athens in 1985. She graduated with honors at the National School of Dance (2007) and at the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of the Kapodistrian University of Athens (2012).
As a dancer, she has collaborated with the companies Sinequanon, Xoreftes, Lathos Kinisi, Haris Mantafounis Contemporary Dance Company, Iris Karayan's Zeta Company, Elena Christodoulidou's Amfidromo Dance Theater, Kostas Tsiukas Dance Company, Hellenic Dance Company as well as with Teti Nikolopoulou, Athanasia Kanellopoulou , Ermira Goro, Agni Papadeli-Rossetou, Iro Apostolelli,
Edgen Lame, Katerina Andriopoulou, Thelya Petraki, Stathis Markopoulo et al.
Since 2008 she has been teaching contemporary dance and improvisation to children and adults. She has collaborated with amateur and professional dance schools such as Choros, Aktina, Dance Time, Elena Vakalopoulou dance school, Polyphonica dance workshop, I&R Duncan Dance Study Center, Baile de Barrio, Aliki Kazouris and Titis Antonopoulos dance school in Andros , Motus dance school, etc. In September 2013 and 2018, she was invited to teach the Contemporary Dance lesson in the entrance exams of the Ministry of Culture.
She has collaborated as a teacher and choreographer with the young contemporary dance group C-Lab, under the artistic direction of Katerina Andriopoulou. Since 2014, she has participated as an animator in the "Dancing to connect" educational program of the Battery Dance Company, in collaboration with the Onassis Foundation's Stegi, which takes place in public schools in Attica.
For what concerns theater, he has collaborated as a choreographer with the “3rd person theater group” in the performances "How Much Earth Does Man Need" at Piraeus Municipal Theater and in "Song of Songs" in Dipethe Kozani. She has also collaborated with Manolis Mavromatakis in the performance "The poor life" at Mikri Epidavros within the Athens Festival, as well as with Antigone Neta in the performance "The Story of Antigone" at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation.
