Emy Korfia

She was born in Athens and at the age of 9 she started attending dance classes at the incubator of the National School of Dance. At the age of 16 she was accepted at the National Dance Academy in Budapest, where she graduated after 3 years under the supervision of Zsuzsa Kun. At the same time, she completed the Secondary School diploma with in-house lessons.

Shortly afterwards she danced with the Ballet of the Hungarian National Theater in Petz with director and choreographer Istvan Herczog and soon became principal dancer. In this role she interpreted many classical and neoclassical characters such as Swanilda in “Coppelia”, Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet” and others.

In 1997 she started teaching ballet and repertoire at the professional classes of the "Dance Center Isidora and Raimond Duncan". Since 2001 she has been teaching ballet and barre a terre at DANCCE and Nikis Kontaxakis-Nikolettas Bakali Professional Dance School (until 2020). Since 2019 he has been teaching in the professional department of National School of Dance and from 2022 she is teaches ballet at AKTINA.
