Aggeliki Stellatou

She was born in Athens in 1963. She graduated with honors from the National School of Dance. she continued her studies in New York, at Merce Cunningham Dance Studios, with a scholarship of the Onassis Foundation. At the same time she attended Contact Improvisation and Release Techniques seminars with K.J. Holmes, Jeremy Nelson, Daniel Lepkoff, Sarah Pearsons, Sarah Rudner and others. In 1987 she co-founded "Omada Edafous together with Dimitris Papaioannou. She was honored with the award for best dancer for her solo "Skalopatia" from the performance "Anthropini Dipsa". In 2008 she was honored with the "Koula Pratsika" award of the Center for the Study and Research of the Greek Theater movement curator in the play Motortown. She has collaborated with various dance companies: Sine Qua Non, Analia, Chorika by Z. Nikoloudi, amorphy.org etc.
As a choreographer she has collaborated with the National Theatre, Neos Kosmos Theatre, Megaro Mousikis, the Thessalian Theatre, Empros theatre, Athens Festival et al.
She has directed several performances: “In my way”, “An angel” by M. Efstathiadi (Neos Kosmos Theatre, 2002), “A little sooner ( ) A little later” (Patras Municipal Theatre, for “Patras European Capital of Culture, 2006), “Canniblas” with her own company Ypsilon (Neos Kosmos Theatre, 2009).
