Guest Teachers @ΑΚΤΙΝΑ
As the new academic year begins, AKTINA is delighted to welcome Eve Ganneau for a series of Somatic Ballet masterclasses, Ioanna Apostolou for contemporary dance, and Konstantinos Papanikolaou for the Dancing in Time seminar. The seminars are addressed to the students enrolled in the professional programmes.
Eve Ganneau is a dancer, teacher and choreographer based between Marseille and Athens. She trained at CNSM Paris and worked as a dancer with Aalto Ballet Theater Essen, Staatstheater Wiesbaden and Scottish Dance Theatre. As an independent artist, she has collaborated on projects with choreographers including Damien Jalet, Örjan Andersson and Joan Cleville, among others. She holds an MA in artistic creation in public space and has been a certified Feldenkrais practitioner since 2021 (eveganneau.com). In her Somatic Ballet masterclass, she approaches ballet technique as an ideal framework for observing and investigating our movement habits, discovering tools that can be transferred and applied to other dance practices. The class combines the tradition of ballet with movement explorations based on the Feldenkrais Method.
Ioanna Apostolou is a dancer and dance teacher, a graduate of the Greek State School of Dance (KSOT) and Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany. As a dancer, she works regularly with Ioanna Portolou and the Griffon dance company, while she has also collaborated with leading Greek artists and companies in Greece and abroad. She was awarded at the 5th International Dance Festival of Algeria and was selected as a fellow of the 3rd Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) & ARTWORKS Artist Support Programme. Since 2024, she has been a member of the teaching staff at KSOT. Alongside her teaching at dance schools and educational programmes, she has also participated in the Dancing to Connect programme of the Onassis Foundation’s Stegi.
Konstantinos Papanikolaou is a dancer, performer and choreographer, holding an MA in Dance from Paris 8 and a degree in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has collaborated with leading Greek and international artists and has presented his work at major cultural institutions in Greece and abroad. His works include The Diving Horse and Other Mythologies, The Correction and Sufficiently Creative. He has been awarded by ARTWORKS and is an Onassis AiR 2025/26 fellow. Dancing in Time is an original dance course exploring the composition of movement through different artistic movements and approaches, bringing together elements of history, art and sociology.
